Phil Danby – Managing Director – Principal Estimator
Probuild’s founder, Phil has been our driving force since inception, growing Probuild NT to become one of the largest and most professional construction companies in Alice Springs.
Today, Phil’s time is largely devoted to investigating new technologies and innovative working methods to help our projects run as smoothly as possible. He also keeps his sharp eyes and ears peeled for any new development opportunities that may arise.
Mick Betteridge – Director – Construction Operations Manager
Mick is kept very busy overseeing our projects and operations. In this role, Mick is also responsible for managing all staff, sub contractors and suppliers as well as ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to and maintained.
As our ever-capable Construction Operations Manager, Mick’s expertise stretches back 23 years, allowing our clients to rest assure their projects are in capable hands.
Mark Manuell – Director – Project Manager – Manager of Financial Operations
Mark joined Probuild NT in 2007, bringing 19 years experience to the team. His local knowledge and experience within the industry make him highly effective in managing all projects big or small. Marks ‘hands on’ approach to project management and eye for detail ensures no stone is unturned to produce a quality product every time. Overseeing the other project managers and administrators Mark keeps his finger on the pulse of all the companies projects.
Tim Blyth – Project Manager
Tim previously worked for Probuild for several years until he left Alice Springs in mid 2007. We were very excited to welcome him back earlier this year. Tim has over 40 years experience in Construction and Project Management. Tim has once again rejoined the team managing our projects at the Alice Springs Hospital where his knowledge and experience is second to none.
Aaron Blacker – Civil Projects Manager
Aaron joined Probuild in March 2010 to start up our new Civil Projects Division . He brings with him over 11 years experience in Civil Construction at all levels from Operator to Manager along with a list a mile long list of Qualifications within this specialised field. All the Probuild team is very excited to support Aaron in developing this new division of the business.
Jessica Banville – Project Manager
Jess has been working with Probuild since January 2011 and brings with her experience of Project Coordinator & Project Management on multi storey developments such as The Fairmont Pacific Rim in British Columbia Canada worth $450M where quality control and trades management were of the highest priority. Jess has also managed projects ranging from renovation and upgrade projects and Design and Construct Developments.
Joe Penaluna – Quality Manager / Contracts Administrator
Our tenacious and thorough Contracts Administrator has taken on the additional role of Quality Manager. Joe is across all our projects from tender preparation and costs estimation right through to job completion. With a Bachelor of Business specialising in Property Joe is up to speed with all of the latest contractual obligations.
Kaarina Purcell –OHS Manager
Kaarina has a passion for safety and promoting a zero harm culture. With a background in aircraft engineering and experience in safety systems from both the aerospace and manufacturing industries; she brings a wealth of technical experience coupled with the practical application to the company. Kaarina helps to ensure the company safety profile meets the demands of the projects as well as National Safety Systems.
Chris Hatt – Safety Advisor
Chris is a long time loyal employee of Probuild NT and has seen the Company develop on many fronts. This is in part due to his latest responsibility as a position of Safety Advisor. Working alongside Kaarina Purcell, Chris performed a major role in Probuild NT passing its Audit for the Compliance with AS / NZ Standard 4801 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) and continues to set the standard and procedure on all sites. Chris also leads a team of licensed Asbestos Removalist’s for either our own work or external contracts. Chris proactively seeks and organises various training courses for all Employees and through his endeavor, Probuild NT now has multiple trained Employees covering a wide range of tasks and activities.
Chantelle Shaun – Accounts Manager
Chantelle has lived and worked in diverse municipalities, such as the Torres Strait Islands, South-Western regions of Victoria , Central Australia and Remote Western Australia. She possess a vast array of knowledge from business to finance management, covering both private and government sectors. Over the past ten years she has assisted in the implantation of new businesses in remote indigenous communities and provided ongoing training and support for staff.
Amanda Davies– Administration Assistant / Receptionist
Amanda has come to us after 20 years as a dental assistant and is skilled in all manners of office work. Studying for a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping has made her decide on a new career path and here at Probuild, she is involved with all manner of front office work, including data entry, accounts payable and payroll.

Tasked with the responsibility of running projects smoothly at site level, our experienced Site Managers / Site Supervisors bring extensive experience in remote construction to Probuild. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of a construction site in the Red Centre takes extensive know-how, tight project management and proactive foresight. Clients can rest assured Probuild’s qualified Site Managers / Site Supervisors know their business!
Not only do our Site management team oversee all details of on-site daily activity, they also ensure all staff and sub contractors comply with the Probuild’s QSE (Quality, Safety & Environment) policies, procedures and requirements. Keeping our clients objectives in mind, our Site Managers aim to maintain a productive and progressive work site, minimising time delays and ensuring that a quality product is delivered whilst ensuring our clients experience with Probuild NT is a positive one.
