Numbulwar Health Centre & Duplex
Probuild NT were engaged by the Northern Territory Government to project manage and construct the health clinic and duplex in Numbulwar.
Probuild NT has engaged over 120 NT staff during the project timeline, with about 30 people on site at any one time. They finished this project with the Yugal Mangi under a Joint Venture contract. Yugal Mangi supplied a number of services and labour. Hence the project supported the local community through employment opportunities.
They also teamed up with Footys4All, and local firms Jet Stream Electrical and Biomedical Solutions to arrange a community event. The fun event saw over 150 footballs given to local kids from Numbulwar School, and lots of happy faces. More details about this can be found here.

This project, split in two, comprised the planning, construction, fit-out and commissioning of a new Category 1 Health Clinic and 2-bedroom duplex unit. Prior to building, Probuild NT got all the proper permits. The health clinic was constructed too conform with the Building Code and all relevant Australian Standards.
Numbulwar Health Centre
Construction methods included concrete slabs and footing, with outer Colourbond finish to the building and roof. The Numbulwar Township is prone to adverse weather conditions, like cyclones and flooding. Probuild NT built the clinic within the scope of works to reduce damage and prolong the life of the building.
The health clinic itself has a plant room, ambulance bay, male and female waiting areas, dental room, hearing booth (which consisted of a slab set down), staff offices, multipurpose room, and renal room (which was built with a vapour barrier to seal the room). As with most healthcare facilities, consultation rooms, gas bottle storage, x-ray, and drug storage facilities were also part of the plans.
Next to the health clinic, Probuild NT also finished the construction and landscaping of ancillary housing.
Constructed of concrete slab and footings. With RHS framed Trusses engineered and certified to specification and Colourbond roof. This two-bedroom duplex is finished to a high standard.
As with the health clinic, this duplex was also constructed to specification. To withstand adverse weather conditions with the plasterboard ceilings fixed to cyclonic metal ceiling battens.
